Summer for Elementary Students

Summer can be an exciting one for school age children, if parents take the time to find the right center.

What is your greatest memory of summer vacation as a kid? Most would probably list time spent out at the lake hunting for frogs or making a craft out of popsicle sticks at camp. Many kids do not have these opportunities, but are instead consigned to spend summer at a friend of the family's house, or in some other- unideal situation. Wouldn't it be great if you could give your child this sort of experience that they will remember into adulthood?

Many daycare centers are taking up the task of inventing new and exciting themes for their summer school-age attendees as a way to insure that their summer is not spent bored and indoors watching TV or in a childcare center that is more suitable for children in preschool. Through these innovative summer camp experiences, they can learn about science and nature, horse-riding, paper airplane making, frogs, creating a play, cultures around the world, or painting.
